SUMMARY:2026 Hightower Trail BALOO/IOLS Training
DESCRIPTION:Hightower Trail Training\nWe have training for Cub Scout Units and Troop Units that leaders and volunteers can take to learn about scouting with your unit. \n \nBALOO – Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation\nCub Scout leaders who are interested in adding a camping component to their Pack activities are required to have at least one BALOO trained adult on every Cub Scout den or pack overnight outdoor event – including Pack Camping and Webelos Den overnighters. \n \nIOLS – Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills\nOutdoor skills are essential to a strong and successful Scouting program. Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) equips leaders with the foundational knowledge needed to confidently lead and support an effective outdoor program. This training is required for all Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters\, and it is highly beneficial for Troop Committee members as well. Committee members will gain valuable insight into the outdoor program and learn how to better support the Scoutmaster in delivering a high-quality experience for Scouts. \n
