HIGHTOWER TRAIL DISTRICT CAMPOREE
It is that time of the year where the troops get together and fight to see who really is the best. This year we will have to hoist the batons, prepare the cannons, and and set sail to see who will come home with the gold. Come this year to the Hightower Pirates Camporee at Bert Adams Scout Reservation on March 27-29, 2009. You will not be disappointed in the skills your scouts will learn as the compete against others and have fun at the same time. More info to come on the events.

IMPORTANT TRAINING UPDATE IMPACTING TOURS
Effective January 1, 2009 all units must have at least one person trained in Planning and Preparing for Hazardous Weather with the unit while on tour. This course is available on-line and requires about 30 minutes to complete. Concurrent with this requirement is a new tour permit form.

Overviews of the Religious Emblems Programs are being presented at each of our monthly Roundtables which are held on the second Tuesdays of the month, 7:30 PM to 9 PM, at the United Methodist Church at the corner of Shallowford Road and Briarcliff Road.  Please attend to learn about the essentials of all religions.
