Please make sure you register your Cub Scout for the rank they will be in August, not their current rank (example: If they are currently a Tiger, they should register as a Wolf). Also be sure to update their t-shirt size on the registration form, if needed.
Cub Scout Day Camp is a summer outdoor experience for Cub Scout youth in rising 1st through 5th grade. Note that rising 1st graders (Tigers) must be accompanied by their adult partner while at Day Camp.
This year’s theme is the “Wild, Wild West!” and we have been working on an amazing program for your Cub Scouts. We will have lots of surprise special guests and an array of activities to participate in – from archery and BBs to science experiments and obstacle courses! Cub Scouts will have the opportunity to try new things as they work on elective adventures for their rank. Most importantly, they will have FUN!!!
VOLUNTEERS:
We are in need of VOLUNTEERS!! You can volunteer a day, a couple of days, or the entire week. Day Camp is ENTIRELY led by volunteers, so please help out if you are able. It is SUPER FUN!! You can share a skill or activity with the Cub Scouts (we will provide the supplies you need), lead a den of 8-10 Cub Scouts through various activity stations throughout the day, lead a nature hike, help with registration, or lead/assist with an activity station. To volunteer, please REGISTER as an Adult Volunteer or Youth Volunteer on the day camp registration site (Tentaroo Registration (atlantabsa.org)). Volunteers will receive a t-shirt and day camp patch.
Youth volunteers can serve as den chiefs, assist activity leaders (help with rockets, shooting sports, STEM, obstacle course, nature hike, map skills, games, etc.), help set up/break down day camp, refill water stations, or assist with carpool.
